Tetouan Free Guided Tour

On this free tour of Tetouan, you'll discover the history of the most Andalusian city in Morocco and tour its Medina, a World Heritage Site.

Tour Details

We'll meet at Avenida Cinema to start the tour. We'll walk through the Medina, moving to Feddan Square and exploring the side streets that contain the Andalusian houses of Tetouan's old nobility. The tour continues through the maze of streets, offering an authentic experience of local life.

The next stop is the Jarazin craftsman neighbourhood, where you'll have 15 minutes to explore and take photos of Tetouan’s views. Then, we'll visit a 15th-century leather workshop to observe the craftsmanship involving hides and leathers, and explore captivating bazaars.

Our journey continues to Tarrafin, the 'Street of Gold', leading us to Bab Ruah and the old Jewish neighbourhood of Mellah, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the area's history and culture.

We'll conclude our tour by returning through the Ensanche Español, where we'll see the Spanish library, the Cervantes Institute, and the food market, discussing historical buildings and stories along the way. The tour lasts 2.5 hours.
