Discover the rich architectural heritage of the Netherlands' administrative capital on our Hague-guided visit. You'll visit this city's monuments and immerse yourself in its long history.
Tour Details
Our guided tour of The Hague will start at 131 Paviljoensgracht Street, where we'll meet at your chosen time.
On this 3-mile (5-kilometre) walking tour, we'll explore the main sights in the Netherlands' administrative capital. First, we'll head to the Binnehof, a large complex of buildings visible from the Hofvijver lake.
The Binnehof houses both the Prime Minister's office and the two bicameral seats of the States General of the Netherlands. Within the complex, we'll find the Ridderzaal (Hall of Knights), a large gothic building where the annual state opening of the Parliament takes place on the third Tuesday of September, presided over by the Dutch monarch.
After learning facts about the Dutch monarchy, we'll continue to the Vredespaleis (Peace Palace), the seat of the International Court of Justice and institutions dedicated to human rights protection.
We'll then stroll to Noordeinde Palace, one of the Dutch royal family's three official residences, primarily used as the monarch's office. Other institutional events also occur here.
After 2 hours 30 minutes of history and monuments, we'll return to the meeting point and finish the tour.
