Day Trip to Mt. Olympus & Dion

We'll meet in front of the Statue of Eleftherios Venizelos in Thessaloniki and move to the west of the town.

After just an hour's drive, we'll arrive at the Dion archaeological site. This site features remnants from ancient Macedonian culture, including an ancient theater, several temples, and sanctuaries.

We will continue our tour visiting the Villa of Dionysos and the Dion Archaeological Museum, which holds a significant collection of classical sculptures. This segment will include insights into the art of that period.

Next, we'll visit Lithochorus at the foot of Mount Olympus, standing at 2,918 meters (9,573 feet), the highest mountain in Greece. From here, we will walk approximately 20 minutes along the Enipeas River Gorge while enjoying scenic views.

During the walk, there will be opportunities to appreciate the panoramic views of Mount Olympus and learn about the mythology linked to this mountain. Upon returning to Lithochorus, we will have a meal at a traditional Greek restaurant where you can enjoy lunch at your own pace.

After lunch, we will return to the meeting point in Thessaloniki, completing the trip in 8 hours.
