Tour Details
At the appointed time we'll meet in front of the Electra Palace Thessaloniki hotel and from there we'll start our guided tour of Thessaloniki.
We'll walk to the White Tower, an emblem of Thessaloniki that served as both a defensive structure and a prison since its construction.
Next, we'll see the equestrian statue of Alexander the Great, erected in 1973, which is 6 meters (19 feet) tall on a 5-meter (15 feet) pedestal.
We'll pass by the OTE Tower, a 76-metre (249 feet) high telecommunications building, before exploring the ruins of the Palace of Galerius, the Arch of Galerius, and the ancient Roman Forum.
Finally, we'll visit the Byzantine churches of the Acheiropoietos and San Demetrio, the latter being a World Heritage Site since 1988.
We will conclude the tour at the starting point, 2 hours after the start of the activity.
