Vega de Yuco Testeina Winery Visit

On this visit to the Finca Testeina of the Vega de Yuco winery, participants will discover the essence of Lanzarote's wines through a tour of the vineyards and the historic house. The tour includes tasting two organic wines and local artisan chocolates.

Activity Details

Meeting will occur at the entrance of Finca Testeina at the specified time. The tour begins inside the historic house, situated in the protected landscape of La Geria and the Natural Park of Los Volcanes.

A guided walk through the vineyard, located at the foot of the Testeina Volcano, will provide insights into the history of vine cultivation in Lanzarote, including its varieties and characteristics.

The history of Finca Testeina of the Vega de Yuco winery will be discussed, highlighting its production of wines with the Denomination of Origin Vinos de Lanzarote since 1997. Information about wine types and vineyard cultivation will be shared.

Participants will taste two organic wines while learning about the impact of volcanic eruptions of Timanfaya on the land.

The experience concludes with a guided tasting of organic wines paired with artisan chocolate bonbons, in the picturesque setting of the volcano of Testeina and the surrounding landscape. The guided tour lasts 1.5 hours.

Sunset Tour

An upgraded experience allows visitors to enjoy the winery during the sunset. This includes a scenic sunset walk through the vineyard, learning about the history of wine cultivation in Lanzarote and the art of winemaking since the 19th century.
