Vega de Yuco Testeina Winery Visit

On this visit to the Finca Testeina of the Vega de Yuco winery, we will explore Lanzarote's wines, touring the vineyards and the historic house. The experience includes tasting two organic wines and artisan chocolates from the island.

Activity Details

We will meet at the entrance of Finca Testeina at the specified time and enter the historic house located in the La Geria protected landscape and the Natural Park of Los Volcanes.

The visit begins with a walk through the vineyard at the foot of the Testeina Volcano, where we will learn about the history of vine cultivation in Lanzarote, including its varieties and characteristics.

We will discuss the Finca Testeina of the Vega de Yuco winery, which has produced wines with the Denomination of Origin Vinos de Lanzarote since 1997, including the Malvasía Volcánica and Listán Negro grapes. We will explain vineyard cultivation on the island.

After the vineyard insights, we will taste two organic wines while admiring the surrounding vineyard landscape and discussing the impact of the Timanfaya volcanic eruptions on these lands.

The experience concludes with a tasting of organic wines paired with chocolate bonbons from a local artisan bakery, set against the backdrop of the volcano of Testeina and the Natural Park of Los Volcanes.

The guided tour will last 1.5 hours.
