Martín García Island Boat Trip
At 8:30 am, we will meet at the Estación Fluvial in Tigre to board a boat at 9 am. This two-hour journey will take us across the River Plate.
Upon arrival, a guided tour will reveal the historical sites on the island. The island is known for its natural beauty and is the only dry border between Argentina and Uruguay.
During the tour, we will pass an old military prison where Juan Domingo Perón was confined in 1945, and visit the Historical Museum, Urquiza Theatre, Stone Quarries, and Chinatown, characterized by abandoned houses and vegetation.
We will also visit the House of Rubén Darío. Around 1 pm, we will stop at a restaurant for a meal of barbecue with salad and a drink.
After lunch, enjoy two and a half hours of free time to explore the island independently. We will reconvene at the dock at 5 pm to board the boat back to Tigre.
The activity concludes at 7:45 pm at the starting point.
