Martín García Island Boat Trip
We will meet at the Estación Fluvial in Tigre at 8:30 am to board a boat at 9 am. The journey lasts two hours across the River Plate.
Upon arrival, we will take a guided tour to explore the historical sites on the island, which is the only dry border between Argentina and Uruguay. We will pass by an old military prison where Juan Domingo Perón was confined in 1945 and visit the Historical Museum, Urquiza Theatre, Stone Quarries, and Chinatown.
We will also see the House of Rubén Darío. At around 1 pm, we will stop at a restaurant to enjoy a barbecue with salad and a drink.
You will have two and a half hours of free time to explore the island. We will meet at the dock at 5 pm to board the boat back to Tigre.
The activity concludes at 7:45 pm at the original starting point.
