Martín García Island Boat Trip
At 8:30 am, we will meet at the Estación Fluvial in Tigre to board a boat at 9 am for a two-hour journey across the River Plate.
Upon arrival, we will take a guided tour to observe the historical sites on the island, including the only dry border between Argentina and Uruguay. The tour will feature an old military prison, where Juan Domingo Perón was confined in 1945, the Historical Museum, the Urquiza Theatre, the Stone Quarries, and Chinatown, which is overgrown with vegetation.
We will also visit the House of Rubén Darío. Around 1 pm, a meal consisting of a barbecue, salad, and a drink will be served at a restaurant.
After lunch, you will have two and a half hours of free time to explore the island independently. At 5 pm, we will reconvene at the dock and board the boat back to Tigre.
The activity concludes at 7:45 pm at the original starting point.
