Martín García Island Boat Trip
We will meet at the Estación Fluvial in Tigre at 8:30 am and board at 9 am for a two-hour journey across the River Plate.
Upon arrival, a guided tour will reveal the historical sites on the island, noted for being the only dry border between Argentina and Uruguay. Highlights include an old military prison where Juan Domingo Perón was confined in 1945, the Historical Museum, the Urquiza Theatre, Stone Quarries, and Chinatown, characterized by abandoned houses in dense vegetation.
We will also visit the House of Rubén Darío. Around 1 pm, we will stop for a meal that includes a barbecue, salad, and a drink.
After lunch, enjoy two and a half hours of free time for further exploration. At 5 pm, we will gather at the dock to board the boat back to Tigre, concluding the activity at 7:45 pm at the starting point.
