Martín García Island Boat Trip
Meet at the Estación Fluvial in Tigre at 8:30 am to board a boat at 9 am. We will set sail on a two-hour journey across the River Plate.
Upon arrival, a guided tour will explore the historical sites on the island, which is the only dry border between Argentina and Uruguay. The tour will include an old military prison where Juan Domingo Perón was confined in 1945, as well as the Historical Museum, Urquiza Theatre, Stone Quarries, and Chinatown.
We will also visit the House of Rubén Darío. Around 1 pm, we will stop at a restaurant for a meal consisting of barbecue with salad and a drink.
After lunch, you will have two and a half hours of free time to explore the island. At 5 pm, we will meet at the dock to board the boat back to Tigre.
The activity concludes at 7:45 pm at the original starting point.
