Join us on our day trip to Iruya and explore Tilcara's surroundings. You'll travel back in time through Argentina's colonial past as you stroll through the town's cobblestone streets.

Iruya Day Trip

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Tilcara at the scheduled time and head to the town of Iruya, with a minibus journey taking around three hours.

During the trip, you'll learn about how residents historically harvested food in terraced fields and utilized the water flowing down the mountain slopes. You will enjoy the scenery as we drive.

Upon arrival in Iruya, we'll embark on a guided tour of the town to learn about its history and key landmarks. Highlights include the church, the cobbled streets, and the central square. We will also visit a viewpoint to appreciate the town's unique location, ideal for capturing photos of it appearing to hang from the mountains.

Before returning, you'll have 1 hour of free time to explore further and have lunch if desired. We will then drive back and drop you off at your hotel in Tilcara approximately 10 hours later.
