Discover the customs and beliefs of a traditional village in northern Argentina on our day trip to the Hornaditas Community, including a visit to the Quebrada de Sapagua.

Quebrada de Sapagua & Hornaditas Community Day Trip

We will pick you up from your hotel in Tilcara between 8:30 and 9 am and set off northbound towards the Quebrada de Sapagua, located 40 minutes away by bus.

Upon arrival, we will embark on a 1-hour hike to explore the area and its cave paintings, learning about their historical significance and the Inca period.

Following the hike, we will continue to the Hornaditas Community, where we will spend the rest of the day engaging with the local culture. This includes observing their crops and sacred sites and learning traditional techniques for weaving and cake baking.

We will enjoy a lunch featuring multiple dishes and a drink, allowing an opportunity to converse with local families about their gastronomy.

The day trip concludes with a return drop-off at your hotel in Tilcara at 6 pm.
