Chichén Itzá Guided Exploration

Our meeting point is set at the Chichén Itzá Archaeological Site, located in the northern section of the Yucatán Peninsula. Here, our guided journey will transport you to the height of Mayan civilization.

Led by a knowledgeable guide with expertise in local history, you will uncover the reasons this location is celebrated as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. The tour will cover the myths and truths surrounding one of the most significant Maya cities of the pre-Columbian period, focusing on its architecture, culture, arts, and history, while even picking up a few words from the ancient Maya language!

The iconic image of Chichén Itzá is dominated by the remarkable pyramid dedicated to the God Kukulkán, informally termed 'The Castle' by the Spanish conquerors. This temple was central to the spiritual practices of the area, serving as a massive sacred calendar for the Maya.

Throughout our expedition at Chichén Itzá, we will closely observe the Temple of the Warriors and its impressive columns adorned with engravings. Additionally, we will explore the Mesoamerican ballgame, a revered sport among pre-Hispanic societies in Mexico.

Following this, we will visit the Temple of the Jaguars, the Tzompantli with its mysterious skull engravings, the Platform of the Eagles, and an array of other remarkable sites within the splendid Chichén Itzá. After a 2-hour journey of discovery, we will conclude the tour and bid farewell.
