Embark on a journey to the picturesque city located along the Osum River with this Berat Day Trip. Uncover the charm of one of central Albania's most exquisite ancient settlements and explore its remarkable castle complex.

Day Trip Overview

Your adventure begins with a pickup from your Tirana hotel at 8 am, followed by a scenic drive southward to Berat, known as the city of a thousand windows. Within approximately two hours, we will reach our destination.

Our excursion kicks off at the magnificent Berat Castle, which majestically overlooks the area from its hillside location. Here, you will benefit from a guided exploration of this grand fortress, which features churches, panoramic viewpoints, and quaint eateries that capture the essence of the historical locale. As we wander through its winding streets, you will hear intriguing tales of its past—did you know it faced destruction at the hands of Roman forces in 200 BC?

Once our tour of the castle concludes, enjoy some leisure time to delve into Berat’s traditional quarters and savor lunch at your own pace. Consider visiting some of its notable churches and mosques, including the Lead Mosque, the King Mosque, and the Bachelor’s Mosque. If interested, this is also an excellent opportunity to check out the Onufri Museum independently.

We will reconvene and proceed to the Gorica Bridge, an emblematic structure spanning the Osum River and a key highlight in Berat.

Our day will conclude as we make our way back to Tirana, with drop-off at your hotel around 3 pm.
