Day Trip Details
Pickup will be at your hotel in Tirana at 8 am for a two-hour drive to Berat, known as the city of a thousand windows.
The first stop will be Berat Castle, situated on a hill. A guided tour will be provided of this fortress, which includes churches, viewpoints, and local restaurants. As you walk through the narrow streets, the castle's history will be shared, including the fact that it was burned by the Romans in 200 BC.
After the castle visit, you will have free time to explore Berat's traditional neighborhoods and lunch on your own. Recommended sites include the Lead Mosque, the King Mosque, and the Bachelor’s Mosque. You may also visit the Onufri Museum independently during this time.
The next destination will be Gorica Bridge, spanning the Osum River and recognized as one of Berat’s iconic landmarks.
Finally, the trip will conclude with a return to Tirana, where you will be dropped off at your hotel around 3 pm.
