Tour to Tequila + Jose Cuervo Express Train
At 8 am, we'll meet at Casa José Cuervo in San Pedro Tlaquepaque and board a bus to the agave fields of Tequila. Here, we'll explore the origins of tequila, which is derived from the agave plant, including a jima demonstration.
Next, we'll visit the La Rojeña distillery of José Cuervo to learn about the elaboration process of tequila and taste different varieties, accompanied by a light snack. Additionally, we will visit the Juan Beckmann Gallardo cultural center at the distillery to understand the history of the region.
Participants will then have 2 hours free for lunch and to explore the town of Tequila, including a visit to the 17th-century parish church of Santiago Apóstol. We will regroup for a Mexican folklore and mariachi music show following this free time.
After the show, we'll proceed to the Jose Cuervo Express station, the only old-style train in Mexico. During the train ride, we will enjoy a magical sunset over the agave fields.
The excursion concludes at 8 pm at the Ferrocarriles Mexicanos station in Guadalajara.
