Tour to Tequila + Jose Cuervo Express Train
At 8 am, we'll meet at Casa José Cuervo in San Pedro Tlaquepaque and board a bus to the agave fields of Tequila, where we will explore the origins of tequila.
Tequila is derived from the agave plant, thriving in arid climates. We will observe its cultivation and participate in a jima demonstration.
Next, we will visit the La Rojeña distillery of José Cuervo. During this tour, we will learn about the elaboration process of tequila and enjoy a tasting of different varieties, accompanied by a light snack. Additionally, we will explore the Juan Beckmann Gallardo cultural center to learn about the area's history.
You will have 2 hours free for lunch and to explore Tequila, including a visit to the 17th-century parish church of Santiago Apóstol. Afterwards, we will gather to attend a Mexican folklore and mariachi music show.
After the show, we will proceed to the Jose Cuervo Express station, the only old-style train in Mexico. Onboard, you can enjoy a magical sunset over the agave fields.
Our excursion concludes at 8 pm at the Ferrocarriles Mexicanos station in Guadalajara.
