Two of the most beautiful Magical Towns of Tlaxcala, Huamantla and Tlaxco, await on this excursion. Learn about ancient traditions, visit the Barca de la Fe, and see colonial and French architecture.

Huamantla & Tlaxco Tour

Pickup will occur between 9:00 and 9:30 am as we head by minibus to Huamantla, located at 2,400 meters above sea level. Known for its important cattle-raising tradition, Huamantla features Art Nouveau architecture and several churches. Visitors will stroll through the historic center and visit the puppet museum, which exhibits up to 500 puppet pieces.

We will then proceed to Tlaxco, stopping in José María Morelos Buenavista to visit the Barca de la Fe, a church replicating the Santa Maria ship from Columbus's voyage. Next, we will enter a 'pulque hacienda' to learn about the production of pulque, a traditional alcoholic beverage made from agave sap, followed by a two-course lunch with dessert and beverages.

The tour will conclude in the Magical Town of Tlaxco, where we will walk through the old town, admire colonial architecture, and visit an artisan cheese factory, learning about the region's culinary delights. Return to the starting points will be between 4:30 pm and 5:00 pm.
