Details of the Day Trip

At the scheduled time, we will convene at Suica Penguin Square and board a train bound for Kamakura. Prepare to unveil the unique beauty of this historic locale!

Our first destination will be the Buddhist temple of Hase-Dera. We’ll pause briefly to appreciate the façade of this renowned shrine, celebrated for housing over 50,000 small sculptures. Relish the tranquil atmosphere as you wander through its caves, Buddhist halls, and the scenic terrace that provides a breathtaking view of the bay.

Next, we'll proceed to the iconic Great Buddha of Kamakura, the second largest Buddha statue in Japan, soaring over 42 ft (13 meters) and weighing a staggering 93 tons!

Subsequently, we'll visit the Tsurugaoka Hachiman temple-g?, recognized as the paramount Shinto shrine in Kamakura. You will have 40 minutes to explore the exterior of this exceptional 11th-century structure and stroll through its picturesque gardens adorned with cherry trees.

After five enriching hours, we will gather once more at the meeting point where we will bid you farewell. You will have the option to return to Tokyo via your complimentary train ticket or to continue exploring the town at your leisure.
