Details of the Day Trip
At the arranged time, your guide will meet you at the Shinjuku LOVE Object in Tokyo. Departing from the city, you will be transported to the picturesque Japanese countryside, headed towards the Fifth Station viewpoint of Mount Fuji, which you will reach after a two-hour drive.
Upon arrival, you will have 30 minutes to take in the breathtaking views of Mount Fuji. Following this, you’ll proceed to a nearby restaurant for a delicious traditional Japanese lunch. The menu features dishes such as udon noodle soup, seafood salad, lemon chicken, fried egg with sauce, and rice with gobo, konjac, and nori seaweed. Vegetarian and vegan options can be arranged as well.
After your meal, you’ll board the Hakone Ropeway, a cable car providing access from Togendai station along the lake to Owakudani, an area known for its volcanic activity. From this vantage point, you will be greeted with stunning panoramic views. Once you've taken it all in, enjoy a 30-minute pirate ship cruise on Lake Ashi, offering a unique perspective of the surrounding landscapes.
Your adventure will culminate with a bus transfer to either Hakone Yumoto or Odawara train stations, marking the end of the trip for those wishing to stay. If you possess a Japan Rail Pass, it can be utilized to return to Tokyo or to continue your travels elsewhere.
For those without the Japan Rail Pass eager to head back to Tokyo, tickets will be provided for your return on the Shinkansen bullet train, arriving at the Central Station in the Japanese capital between 10 and 11 hours after the tour starts. Please select the option that includes the bullet train if this is your plan.
