Nikko Day Trip

This tour from Tokyo to Nikko will take you to its iconic landmarks, including the Toshogu Temple, Kegon Waterfall, and Lake Chuzenji.

Tour Details

At the scheduled time, we'll meet you at a central location in Tokyo and depart for Nikko. After a bus ride of approximately 2.5 hours, we'll arrive and cross the sacred Shinkyo Bridge, reaching the Toshogu Temple, which houses the tomb of the first shogun of the Tokugawa clan.

We will discuss the significance of this figure in Japanese culture and share information about the unique animal motifs in Nikko’s temples. Next, we'll visit the Kegon Waterfall, followed by about an hour of free time for lunch, allowing you to enjoy authentic Japanese cuisine. Later, we’ll proceed to Lake Chuzenji for spectacular views.

This 11-hour tour concludes with a return to the meeting point in Tokyo.

Please note that the order of visits may vary for organizational reasons. In case of adverse weather conditions, access to Kegon Waterfall may be restricted, and we'll stop instead at the Rinnoji Temple.
