Nikko Day Trip

This tour from Tokyo to Nikko includes visits to the Toshogu Temple, Kegon Waterfall, and Lake Chuzenji.

Tour Details

We’ll meet at a central location in Tokyo and embark on a 2.5-hour bus ride to Nikko, where you’ll have about an hour of free time to explore. We suggest visiting the Shinkyo Bridge.

Next, we’ll visit the Sannai area and the Toshogu Shrine, the tomb of Tokugawa Ieyasu. We will explore its architecture and learn about its historical significance.

Continuing, we will explore Nikko’s unique temples and their animal motifs before proceeding to the Kegon Waterfall. Here, you’ll have an hour of free time for lunch, followed by a visit to Lake Chuzenji, providing great views.

After about an hour at the lake, we’ll return to Tokyo, concluding this 11-hour tour at the meeting point.

To see Kegon Waterfall closely, you can use an elevator to reach the area near the water, but it can also be admired from the free platform where we will stop.
