Private Day Trip to Kawagoe
After meeting your guide at Shunjuku station, you will board the train for Kawagoe, with a journey time of just under an hour. Upon arrival, the first destination will be Kita-in temple, an ancient Buddhist shrine built in 830, home to significant Rakan sculptures.
Next, we will navigate through the bustling city center, particularly Taisho Roman Street, to experience life from the 1910s and 20s, where many buildings exceed 100 years in age. We will also explore the black houses of the Ichiban-gai district, reflecting the Edo period. The tour includes a visit to Toki-No-Kane bell tower, a city symbol from the 17th century.
We will conclude by walking along Kashiya Yokocho, a street known for traditional Japanese sweets, where a local snack will be provided. The tour ends on Kashiya Yokocho street, and from there, you will return to Tokyo independently.
