With your ticket to the Tokyo Tower Observation Deck, you'll see Tokyo from a privileged vantage point.

Tokyo Tower: the Best Views of the Japanese Capital

Located in the heart of the Japanese capital, the Tokyo Tower reaches a height of 333 meters (1,092 feet). You can climb to the tower's Observation Deck at 150 meters (492 feet).

Humble Beginnings

Tokyo Tower was built in 1958 and was the tallest structure in Japan at the time. Inspired by the Eiffel Tower, it was designed by architect Tach? Nait? and constructed with recycled steel from dismantled American war tanks post-World War II. Its main purpose was to serve as a transmission tower for television and radio, crucial for the country's communication.

What Can I See at Tokyo Tower?

Your ticket grants access to the tower's main observation deck at 150 m (492 feet), offering a 360-degree panorama of Tokyo. From here, you can see landmarks like the Imperial Palace and, on clear days, Mount Fuji. Don’t miss the Skywalk Window with its glass flooring for a unique view below, making you feel like you're floating above the city. You can also visit the highest Shinto shrine in the capital.

During your visit, enjoy refreshments at the cafeteria and browse the official store for souvenirs.

Opening Hours

Tokyo Tower is open daily from 9:00 am to 10:30 pm, with last access 30 minutes before closing.
