Visit the world's largest fish market on this tour of the Tsukiji district in Tokyo where you'll get to taste fresh fish and enjoy a traditional meal.
Tour Details
We'll meet at the designated time at Tsukiji Station to visit what was once the largest fish market in the world.
The tour will begin with a visit to a small Zionist shrine and the Tsukiji Hongan-ji Buddhist temple, dating back to the 17th century.
We will explore the streets that formerly housed the Tsukiji Market. The large fish market is now on the nearby island of Toyosu, but many fish shops have remained in Tsukiji.
During the tour, we will taste oysters and other local fresh fish products. We will visit one of the restaurants to enjoy some donburi, a traditional Japanese dish of fish meat and vegetables.
Afterwards, we'll go to an observatory for panoramic views of the area. The tour will finish back at the starting point after a total of 3 hours.
