Guided Tour of Cebu and Mactan
The tour begins with a hotel pickup in Cebu. We start at Magellan's Cross to discuss the Portuguese explorer's ties to Cebu. Next, we visit the Santo Niño Basilica (Basilica of the Holy Child), home to the Santo Niño de Cebú (Holy Child of Cebu), followed by a visit to Fort San Pedro, a military structure established in 1738.
Our next location is the Yap-Sandiego Ancestral House, preserved for over 300 years, showcasing the lifestyle of historical merchants and families in Cebu. We will also visit the Taoist Temple, situated on a hill, offering views of Cebu, Mandaue, and Lapulapu.
A local meal will be enjoyed at a traditional restaurant before crossing to Mactan via the Marcelo Fernan bridge. In Mactan, we will explore the Lapu-Lapu shrine, which honors the indigenous ruler. Lastly, we will visit a traditional Philippine guitar factory to learn about instrument-making and its cultural significance before returning to your hotels in Cebu.
