Explore the historic center of Cebu City, the first capital of the Philippines, with our guided tour that also includes noteworthy attractions on the island of Mactan.
Guided Tour of Cebu and Mactan
The tour begins with hotel pickup in Cebu. We will visit Magellan's Cross to learn about its historical significance related to the Portuguese explorer.
Next, we proceed to the Santo Niño Basilica to see the Santo Niño de Cebú. Afterward, we visit Fort San Pedro, built by Spanish and native workers in 1738.
Our following stop is the Yap-Sandiego Ancestral House, preserved for over 300 years, showcasing the lifestyle of past merchants and families in Cebu.
Before leaving Cebu City, we will explore the Taoist Temple, located on a hilltop with views of the city and neighboring regions.
A local meal at a traditional restaurant will be provided before we cross to the island of Mactan via the Marcelo Fernan bridge.
In Mactan, we will visit the Lapu-Lapu shrine, a bronze statue honoring the indigenous ruler. The tour concludes with a visit to a traditional Philippine guitar factory to learn about the instrument-making process and its cultural significance.
