Guided Tour of Cebu and Mactan

This tour begins with a pickup at your hotel in Cebu, leading us to the historic center of the city, recognized as the oldest in the Philippines. Our first stop will be Magellan's Cross, where you will delve into the connection between this site and the famous Portuguese explorer.

Next, we will visit the Santo Niño Basilica (Basilica of the Holy Child), which houses one of the most significant relics of the Philippines, the Santo Niño de Cebú (Holy Child of Cebu). Following our time at the basilica, we will proceed to Fort San Pedro, a military structure established by Spanish workers and native Cebuanos in 1738.

Our journey continues at the Yap-Sandiego Ancestral House, which maintains its original style and architecture for over 300 years, providing insights into the lives of Cebu's merchants and families.

Before we leave Cebu City, we will visit the Taoist Temple, an impressive hilltop shrine that offers breathtaking views across the city and the neighboring regions of Mandaue and Lapulapu.

A traditional meal in a local restaurant will replenish our energy before we cross to the island of Mactan via the Marcelo Fernan Bridge.

In Mactan, our first stop will be the Lapu-Lapu shrine, a large bronze statue honoring the indigenous ruler it represents. To conclude our tour before returning to the hotels in Cebu, we will visit a traditional Philippine guitar factory to learn about the crafting process of these instruments and their cultural significance in Philippine folklore.
