Guided Tour of Cebu and Mactan
Our tour begins with a hotel pickup in Cebu, starting in the city’s historic center, acknowledged as the oldest in the Philippines. The first stop is Magellan's Cross, where you will learn about the Portuguese explorer’s significance to Cebu.
Next, we visit the Santo Niño Basilica, home to the Santo Niño de Cebú, a key relic in the Philippines. Following this, we proceed to Fort San Pedro, constructed in 1738 by Spanish and native Cebuanos.
We will also explore the Yap-Sandiego Ancestral House, preserved for over 300 years, offering insight into the historical lifestyle of Cebu's merchants and families.
Before departing Cebu, we will visit the Taoist Temple, situated on a hilltop providing views of the city and nearby Mandaue and Lapulapu regions.
We will enjoy a local meal in a traditional restaurant before crossing to Mactan via the Marcelo Fernan Bridge.
In Mactan, we will see the Lapu-Lapu shrine, a bronze statue honoring the indigenous ruler. Before returning to your hotels in Cebu, we will visit a traditional Philippine guitar factory to learn about the manufacturing process and its cultural significance.
