On this tour of Tomar, discover the most iconic locations in this city and enjoy its local food.
Description
We'll meet at the Tomar train station and begin our tour. First, we will head to the Pegões Aqueduct, which is 30 metres (98 feet) in height and consists of 180 arches, built starting in 1593.
Next, we'll visit Christ's Convent, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The visit will last approximately 2 hours, during which we will explore the monument and its gardens.
We'll then proceed to Tomar's historic centre, crossing Sepra Pinto Street to reach Republic Square, known for its mosaic of black and white diamonds. There will be a short break for you to grab something to eat.
The tour continues through Mata dos Sete Montes, a 39-hectare park with various tree types, including judas, oak, and olive trees. We will also see a miniature replica of the towers of Christ's Convent.
Finally, we'll conclude the tour at the starting point after a total of 7 hours.
