Description
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the Tomar train station and begin our tour of this city.
First, we'll visit the Pegões Aqueduct, which stands at 30 metres (98 feet) high, featuring 180 arches, built from 1593 during the reign of Phillip I of Portugal.
Next, we'll go to Christ's Convent, a key monument of Portugal's architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our visit here will last around 2 hours, including a tour of its gardens.
We will then explore Tomar's historic centre, crossing Sepra Pinto Street to reach Republic Square, known for its mosaic made of black and white diamonds. A short stop will be made for you to grab something to eat.
Our tour will continue through Mata dos Sete Montes, a 39-hectare park with various trees, including judas, oak, and olive trees, along with a miniature replica of the towers of Christ's Covent.
Finally, we'll conclude the tour at the starting point after a total of 7 hours.
