El Soplao Cave Day Trip

On this day trip to El Soplao Cave from Torrelavega, you'll explore one of the most famous caves in Cantabria.

Day Trip Details

At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from the Pabellón Municipal La Habana Vieja and travel by minibus to the El Soplao Cave. Once we reach the cave's main entrance, we will board the Soplao tourist train. From the train's carriages, we'll see stalactites, stalagmites, columns, calcite crystals, and numerous other formations.

We'll then take a guided tour around the cave's interior, learning about the mining history of Cantabria, as this cave was intertwined with the mining industry for decades.

After visiting the cave, we'll head to the outskirts of the village of Pechón for a brief stop at a viewpoint, where we'll have views of the Tina Menor estuary.

At the end of our visit, we'll return to Torrelavega, arriving 4 hours after the starting time.
