Explore one of the most remarkable corners of Cantabria on our Udias Mines Day Trip from Torrelavega. This trip is ideal for families and friends, allowing you to visit a fascinating zinc and lead mine.
Udias Mines Day Trip
We'll meet in front of the Pabellón La Habana Vieja at 9 pm and head to the Udias mines. The journey will take approximately 20 minutes, after which we'll arrive at our destination and get kitted out in our helmets and caving gear.
We'll spend 1 hour 30 minutes exploring Cantabria's largest zinc and lead mine with an expert guide, who will share notable facts about these caves. These mines were operational for almost 80 years and still feature wooden sleepers from the old railway tracks in the tunnel.
After exploring the mines' karstic formations, we'll return to open air and have a sandwich and a soft drink. We will then return to Torrelavega, arriving at 11:30 pm.
