Explore one of the most remarkable corners of Cantabria on our Udias Mines Day Trip from Torrelavega. This trip is ideal for families and friends, offering a visit to a fascinating zinc and lead mine.
Udias Mines Day Trip
We'll meet in front of the Pabellón La Habana Vieja at 9 pm and head to the Udias mines. The journey will take approximately 20 minutes, after which we will get kitted out in our helmets and caving gear.
We will spend 1 hour 30 minutes exploring Cantabria's largest zinc and lead mine with an expert guide, who will share interesting facts about the caves. The mines operated for almost 80 years and still contain wooden sleepers from the old railway tracks in the tunnel.
After exploring the mines' karstic formations, we will return to the open air for a sandwich and a soft drink. We will then return to Torrelavega, arriving at 11:30 pm.
