Torrevieja Salt Flats Tour

In this guided walking tour of the salt flats of Torrevieja, we'll discover the pink lagoons of one of the largest salt flats in Europe.

Description

At the designated time, we'll meet at the entrance of the Torrevieja salt flats and start a walking tour among salt pyramids and pink lagoons.

For two hours, we'll explore part of the Lagunas de la Mata & Torrevieja Natural Park, covering almost 4 kilometers (2.5 miles). During this time, we'll observe a landscape filled with salt mounds and pink waters.

The tour will include insights into the operations of the salt mines in Torrevieja, focusing on the treatment of huge tons of salt extracted from these lagoons, a practice ongoing since Roman times. We will also explain the reasons for the lagoons' unique pink tone.

The guided tour of the Torrevieja salt flats will conclude at the starting point after a total of 2 hours.
