Do you want to discover the beautiful city where Nicolaus Copernicus was born? On this private tour in Torun, you'll explore its medieval streets and enjoy a private guide just for you and your group.

Description

At the time indicated, we'll meet near the Nicolaus Copernicus Monument in the centre of Old Town Torun. This tour will guide you through one of the oldest cities in Poland, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Starting in the main square, we will visit the Gothic Town Hall, which houses a significant collection of sculptures, paintings, and stained glass. You have the option to climb the tower for a view of Torun and the Vistula River.

Next, we will explore the decorated Hansa merchants' mansions and visit churches including Holy Spirit’s Church and Saint Mary’s Church, from the 14th and 16th centuries. The tour also includes Saint John’s Cathedral, built in the 13th century, notable for the baptism of Nicolaus Copernicus.

We will pass the city's defensive walls and towers like Sailor’s Gate or Bridge Gate, and visit the castle ruins of the Teutonic Knights, established in the 13th century. After a 3-hour duration, we will conclude the tour at the initial meeting point.
