On this excursion from Tours, we'll visit Chenonceau and Chambord, two renowned castles in Loire, and taste wines in the Caves Ambacia wine cellars.

Description

The Loire Valley awaits. We will depart from the Tourist Office in Tours at the specified time. After a 40-minute minibus ride, we will arrive at the Château de Chenonceau, known as the "Château des Dames". This castle is famous for its arches over the Cher River, designed by one of its historical female occupants. During our visit, we will also learn about the castle's name change from "Chenoceaux" to "Chenonceau".

After exploring the Château de Chenonceau, we will head to Amboise, where we will visit the Caves Ambacia, a notable winery. Sommeliers will guide us through the underground galleries, and we will enjoy a tasting of three French wines.

After lunch on your own, we will visit the Château de Chambord, a significant monument of the Loire Valley. We will learn about the contributions of French kings to arts and sciences in the 16th century and the influence of Leonardo da Vinci on Chambord's architecture.

We will return to Tours after the visit, arriving at the Tourist Office after 9 hours.
