On this excursion from Tours, we'll visit Chenonceau and Chambord, two famous castles in Loire, and taste wines at the Ambacia wine cellars.
Description
The beautiful Loire Valley awaits us! At the indicated time, we'll depart from the Tourist Office in Tours. After a 40-minute minibus ride, we'll arrive at the Château de Chenonceau, also known as the "Château des Dames" (The Ladies Castle). This castle is recognized for its arches over the Cher River and has a rich history tied to influential women of the French Renaissance.
After our visit, we'll proceed to Amboise, where we will visit one of the most renowned wineries in the region: the Caves Ambacia. Here, sommeliers will guide us through underground galleries, culminating in a tasting of three French wines.
Lunch will be on your own before we head to the next site: the Château de Chambord. This former royal residence, a prime example of the French Renaissance, highlights the cultural advancements encouraged by Gallic kings. The influence of Leonardo da Vinci, who spent his later years in France, is evident in Chambord's architectural elements.
After visiting Château de Chambord, we'll return to Tours, arriving at the Tourist Office after 9 hours.
