Tamerza, Chebika & Mides Excursion

After picking you up at your hotel in Tozeur at the designated time, we'll head north towards the El Hamma palm grove and along the Shatt al Gharsah salt lake.

Our first stop will be the Chebika oasis. This lush orchard in the desert features a gorge and several waterfalls, along with a mountain spring. The Romans referred to these resources as Ad Speculum.

Today, a small population resides in the modern village of Chebika. We'll visit this area and observe its rocky terrain, home to prehistoric fossils. From Chebika, our excursion continues to the oasis of Tamerza, known for its green landscapes and natural springs, contrasting with the surrounding desert.

Our last stop is at the small oasis of Midès, near the Algerian border. This area is known for its dates and oranges, and during the visit, we'll explore canyons that were used for protection in Roman times. The remains were utilized by the villagers of Midès to construct their homes, which we will see near the oasis.

After visiting Midès, we'll conclude the excursion and return to your hotel in Tozeur after a total of 4 hours.
