We will convene at the designated hour at the central square of the Nova Tramandaí neighborhood. After everyone has gathered, participants will need to use their own transportation to follow the guide to the entrance of the hiking trail in Parque das Dunas.

Once we arrive, the adventure begins as we trek through the sandy terrains that distinguish the ocean from the tranquil coastal lagoons. Our 5-kilometer (3.1-mile) route through the park will reveal the intriguing crescent moon formations of the dunes. Are you curious about what causes this unique shape? We’ll discover it together!

Ascending one of the dunes will provide us with an exclusive view of the Atlantic Ocean, while the majestic lakes and the Serra Gerais will enhance our scenic backdrop. This moment makes for a perfect photographic opportunity!

Continuing our exploration, we may be lucky enough to spot the tuco tuco, a local endemic species. Our journey will culminate as we reach the Fortaleza Lagoon, a celebrated spot among kitesurfing aficionados.
