Stagnone Salt Pan Trip

We will meet in the center of Trapani at the scheduled time. From there, we will head to the Stagnone Lagoon, which is half an hour from Trapani.

Our guide will explain the history of this region, including its battles, origins, and the importance of the salt trade.

We will then board a boat for a ride on the lagoon of the Stagnone nature reserve. We will sail through landscapes and encounter islands such as San Pantaleo, Lunga, Schola, and Santa Maria.

Next, we will visit the salt mines of Ettore Infersa, where you can see salt mounds and the traditional mill. There, we will discover the salt extraction process and enjoy a tasting of local products, including pistachios, almond creams, cheeses, chocolates, and local wines.

After the tour of the Stagnone salt pans, we will return to Trapani.
