Stagnone Salt Pan Trip

We will meet in the center of Trapani at the scheduled time and travel to the Stagnone Lagoon, located half an hour away.

Our guide will explain the history of this region, including past battles, its origins, and the significance of the salt trade.

We will board a boat for a ride on the lagoon of the Stagnone nature reserve. We will sail past islands such as San Pantaleo, Lunga, Schola, and Santa Maria.

Next, we will visit the salt mines of Ettore Infersa, where you will see salt mounds and a traditional mill. We will learn about the salt production process and enjoy a tasting of local products: pistachios, almond creams, cheeses, chocolates, and wines.

After finishing our tour of the Stagnone salt pans, we will return to Trapani.
