Stagnone Salt Pan Trip

We will meet in the center of Trapani at the scheduled time and then head to the Stagnone Lagoon, located half an hour from Trapani.

Our guide will provide insights into the history of this region, covering its battles, origins, and the significance of the salt trade.

Next, we will board a boat for a ride on the lagoon of the Stagnone nature reserve. The route includes views of beautiful landscapes and idyllic islands such as San Pantaleo, Lunga, Schola, and Santa Maria.

We will then visit the salt mines of Ettore Infersa, where you will see impressive salt mounds and a traditional mill. The visit includes a discussion on the salt extraction process and a tasting of local products: pistachios, almond creams, cheeses, chocolates, and local wines.

After completing the tour of the Stagnone salt pans, we will return to Trapani.
