Discover the fossils of giant dinosaurs at the Paleontological Museum of Trelew, one of the most fascinating museums in Argentina!

Why visit the Paleontological Museum?

The Egidio Feruglio Paleontological Museum (MEF) is a main tourist attraction in Trelew, located in the Argentinean province of Chubut. It features numerous large dinosaur fossils discovered in the area, making it one of the best museums in South America in this field.

With your ticket to the museum, you'll see skeletons of colossal prehistoric animals such as the Tyrannotitan Chubutensis, from the Cretaceous period. The visit will provide insights into the dinosaurs of Patagonia, their diets, survival strategies, and adaptations to climate changes. Interactive panels throughout the museum facilitate learning about these creatures.

The exhibition is organized chronologically into four stages: Cenozoic, Mesozoic, Paleozoic, and Precambrian eras, highlighting fossils from each sub-period. The Mesozoic section includes dedicated rooms for the Cretaceous and Jurassic periods.
