Embark on this kayak tour along the Três Forquilhas River to explore the wildlife and flora of its shores.

Description

We will meet at Sítio Lima e Silva to start our kayak tour along the Três Forquilhas River. We will head to the Chapéau River, where we will prepare our kayaking equipment. This area is known for the steamboat harbor constructed in the 1920s.

We will navigate through narrow canals to reach the Três Forquilhas River. Its name comes from the confluence of the Chapéu and Maior rivers, which creates a visual of forks in the landscape. The Três Forquilhas River is the main tributary to the Itapeva Lagoon, one of the largest in Rio Grande do Sul.

We will kayak along a 5.5-kilometer (3.4 miles) stretch of river while observing the flora of the Atlantic Forest. Weather permitting, we will make a brief stop for a swim.

After 3 hours, we will end the tour at the BR 101 road in Três Forquilhas, returning our kayaks before parting ways.
