Embark on this kayak tour along the Três Forquilhas River and immerse yourself in the wildlife and flora surrounding its shores.
Description
At the designated time, we'll meet at Sítio Lima e Silva to kick off our kayak tour along the Três Forquilhas River. We will first head to the Chapéau River to organize our kayaking equipment. This starting point is known for the steamboat harbor built in the 1920s.
We will navigate through narrow canals until reaching the Três Forquilhas River, named for the confluence of the Chapéu and Maior rivers, resembling forks in the geography. The Três Forquilhas River is a primary tributary to the Itapeva Lagoon, one of the largest in the Rio Grande do Sul region.
We will kayak along a 5.5-kilometer (3.4 miles) stretch of the riverbed, observing the flora of the Atlantic Forest. If weather permits, a brief swim stop may be included.
After 3 hours, we will conclude the tour at the BR 101 road in Três Forquilhas, returning our kayaks.
Return transfer
A return transfer to the starting point can be arranged after the kayak tour for a fee of 7 BRL per person, which can be organized on the day of the activity.
