On this day trip to Ljubljana from Trieste, Italy, we'll cross the border into Slovenia to visit the capital with its historical center and castle.

Day Trip to Ljubljana

We'll pick you up at your selected pickup point at the established time and head towards Slovenia. The scenic road trip will take a bit over an hour before we reach Ljubljana.

This capital city is the cultural, economic, political, and administrative center of Slovenia, with a rich history reflected in its medieval and baroque architecture.

We'll visit the old town of Ljubljana and admire architect Jože Ple?nik's designs. Our guided tour includes must-see buildings like the Town Hall and the Cathedral, as well as Prešeren Square, Congress Square, Triple Bridge, and Cobblers' Bridge. At midday, a break of about forty-five minutes will be provided for lunch at a local restaurant.

The Ljubljana Dragon, symbol of the city, lives in the Castle Tower. We'll take a cable car to the fortress, visit inside, and enjoy panoramic views.

Afterwards, we'll return to Trieste, arriving 6 hours after pickup.
