Lipica Horse Farm & Škocjan Caves Excursion

On this excursion, you'll visit one of the oldest horse farms in Slovenia and the Škocjan Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

After meeting at your selected location in Trieste, we will head to an old stud farm in Lipica to learn about the famous Lipizzaner horse.

Upon arrival, we'll explore the farm surrounded by trees and learn about the history of the white Lipizzaner horse and the breeding tradition that dates back over 400 years.

After visiting the breeding farm, we will go to the Lipikum Museum to discover more about this horse breed. If the timing is right, we may see an equestrian show (not included).

Next, we will proceed to the Škocjan Caves, one of the largest underground canyons globally and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Inside the caves, we will view magnificent stalactites, rapids, and lakes, crossing a bridge 40 meters above an underground river for exceptional canyon views.

Before returning to Trieste, we will explore the Škocjan Caves Regional Park, taking a stroll to check out its geological and archaeological landmarks.

After five hours of exploring, we will return to Trieste to conclude the excursion.
