Lipica Horse Farm & Škocjan Caves Excursion

On this excursion, visit one of the oldest horse farms in Slovenia and the Škocjan Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After meeting at your selected point in Trieste, head to the old stud farm in Lipica to learn about the famous Lipizzaner horse.

Upon arrival, explore the farm surrounded by chestnut and oak trees and learn about the history and breeding tradition of the white Lipizzaner horse, which dates back over 400 years. After the breeding farm visit, proceed to the Lipikum Museum to discover more about this breed. There may be an opportunity to catch an equestrian show (not included).

Next, head to the Škocjan Caves, known for being one of the largest underground canyons worldwide and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the caves, marvel at stalactites, rapids, and lakes, and cross a bridge located 40 meters above an underground river for exceptional canyon views.

Before returning to Trieste, stroll through the Škocjan Caves Regional Park to observe its geological and archaeological monuments. After five hours of exploration, return to the starting point in Trieste.
