PADI Open Water Diving Course

To become a certified diver, you must first complete the theory part that covers underwater techniques. You can book the course with the option for online theory at home or in-person at the dive center.

Day 1: Confined water practice

On the first day, you will be picked up at your hotel in Trincomalee at 8:30 am and taken to the dive center. There, the theoretical content will be reviewed before moving to a confined water area for practical training to learn skills such as putting on and taking off the equipment underwater and orientation.

Days 2 and 3: Immersion in open water

On the second and third days, you will complete four open water dives to practice your skills. Upon completion of all exercises, you will receive the PADI Open Water Diver certificate.

Duration

The average duration of the course is three days. If you choose to attend theory in-person or need additional time for exercises, the course can extend to a maximum of five days.

Pick up

This activity includes collection from hotels in Trincomalee. If staying elsewhere, you must arrive at Ward No. 1, 9th Mile Post.

After your last dive, wait at least 24 hours before flying or ascending to high altitude areas.
