PADI Open Water Diving Course

Before aquatic practice, you must complete the theory part that teaches underwater techniques. You can choose to complete the theory online from home or in person at the dive center when making the booking.

Day 1: Confined water practice

On the first day, you will be picked up at your hotel in Trincomalee at 8:30 am and taken to the dive center. There will be a brief review of the theoretical content, followed by practice in a confined water area, focusing on techniques such as putting on and taking off equipment underwater, orientation, and buoyancy.

Days 2 and 3: Immersion in open water

On the second and third days, you will test what you have learned with a total of four open water dives. Upon successful completion of all exercises, you will obtain the PADI Open Water Diver certificate.

Duration

The average duration of the course is three days, but it can be extended to a maximum of five days if attending theory in person or needing extra time to complete exercises.

Pick up

The activity includes pickup from hotels in Trincomalee. For other locations, you need to travel to Ward No. 1, 9th Mile Post.

Important information

After your last dive, you should wait at least 24 hours before flying or ascending to high altitude.
