PADI Open Water Diving Course

Before the aquatic practice to become a certified diver, you must complete the theory part that teaches underwater techniques.

When booking, you can choose to do the theory online from home or in person at the dive center.

Day 1: Confined water practice

On the first day, we will pick you up at your hotel in Trincomalee at 8:30 am and take you to the dive center. After a brief review of the theoretical content, we will move to a confined water area for practical training. You will learn techniques such as putting on and taking off the equipment underwater, orientation, and buoyancy.

Days 2 and 3: Immersion in open water

On the second and third days, you will have the opportunity to test everything you have learned. A total of four open water dives will be conducted to practice your new diving skills. Upon successfully completing all exercises, you will obtain the PADI Open Water Diver certificate.

Duration

The average duration of the course is three days. However, if you wish to attend theory classes in person or require extra days to complete exercises, the course can be completed in a maximum of five days.

Pick up

This activity includes collection from hotels located in Trincomalee. If you are staying elsewhere, you must make your own way to Ward No. 1, 9th Mile Post.

Important information

After your last dive, you should wait at least 24 hours before getting on a plane or ascending to high altitude areas.
