PADI Open Water Diving Course
Prior to the aquatic practice required for certification, you must complete the theory part, which covers underwater techniques.
During booking, you can opt for online theory from home or attend in person at the dive center.
Day 1: Confined water practice
On the first day, you will be picked up at your hotel in Trincomalee at 8:30 am and taken to the dive center.
At the center, we will briefly review the theoretical content, followed by practical training in a confined water area. Techniques such as donning and doffing equipment underwater, orientation, and buoyancy will be covered.
Days 2 and 3: Immersion in open water
On the second and third days, you will test your learned skills.
These two days include a total of four open water dives to practice your new diving skills. Upon successful completion of all exercises, you will receive the PADI Open Water Diver certificate.
Duration
The average course duration is three days. If you prefer in-person theory classes or need more time for exercises, the maximum duration can extend to five days.
Pick up
This activity includes hotel pickup in Trincomalee. If you are staying elsewhere, you must reach Ward No. 1, 9th Mile Post on your own.
Important information
After your final dive, you must wait at least 24 hours before flying or ascending to high altitudes.
