Fish Fauna Museum Tour in Beni

Join our tour of the Fish Fauna Museum in Beni and explore various fish species from the Amazon and Moxeño plains, including the pacu fish. At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel and transport you to the Campus of the Autonomous University of Beni in Trinidad.

Upon arrival at the Fish Fauna Museum, you will find a significant collection of fish from the Amazonian rivers and Moxeño plains lagoons. The museum features 446 different fish species classified by weight, including specimens weighing up to 330 pounds (150 kilograms).

During our guided tour, you will learn about endemic species from the Ibare, Mamoré, Madre de Dios, and Madera Rivers, all tributaries of the Amazon River. One notable species is the pacu, known colloquially as the testicle-biting fish. You will also see other species, such as the surubí, shoefish, and a bufeo, a freshwater dolphin.

After the museum visit, we will return you to your hotel in Trinidad, approximately 1 hour after pickup.
