Fishing in Camiaco

At 5 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Trinidad. Once we've all arrived, we'll head towards the rural community of Camiaco on the banks of the Mamoré River. On the way there, we'll stop in the village of Loreto for breakfast.

Upon arrival in Camiaco, we'll board a motor boat and head downstream to the source of the Pojige stream. We'll look for a suitable spot to settle in and start fishing.

We'll use the traditional techniques of local fishermen and the typical materials for each type of catch. Techniques involve using spoons, rappels, and buoys to catch curubinas, live bait for pomfrets, surubíes, and coroneles, and fruit for pirapitingas.

The catch will vary depending on the season. After fishing, we’ll enjoy lunch featuring milanesa, salad, rice, eggs, and fruit for dessert. We’ll then return to Trinidad and drop you off at your hotel.
