Spend a day relaxing and having fun in a rural community by going fishing in Camiaco. We'll set off from Trinidad and cast our reels as we try to catch fish such as pomfrets, surubí and tarpons.
Fishing in Camiaco
At 5 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Trinidad. Once we've all arrived, we'll head towards the rural community of Camiaco on the banks of the Mamoré River. On the way there, we'll stop in the village of Loreto for breakfast.
When we get to Camiaco, we'll board a motor boat and head downstream to the source of the Pojige stream. Once we've arrived, we'll look for the perfect place to settle in and start fishing.
We'll try the traditional techniques used by this community's fishermen, utilizing spoons, rappels, buoys, and other materials for various types of catch. You will use live bait, meat, and fruit to catch pomfrets, surubí, and coroneles, as well as curubinas and pirapitingas.
The fish we catch will depend on the time of year, as this can vary depending on the season. After fishing in Camiaco, we'll have a lunch that includes milanesa, salad, rice and eggs, and fruit for dessert. We'll then return to Trinidad and drop you off at your hotel.
