Spend a day relaxing and having fun in a rural community by going fishing in Camiaco. We'll set off from Trinidad and cast our reels as we try to catch fish such as pomfrets, surubí, and tarpons.
Fishing in Camiaco
At 5 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Trinidad. After gathering everyone, we'll head towards the rural community of Camiaco on the banks of the Mamoré River, making a stop in the village of Loreto for breakfast along the way.
Upon arrival in Camiaco, we'll board a motor boat and proceed downstream to the source of the Pojige stream. Once we find a suitable fishing spot, we will begin our fishing activity.
We'll utilize the traditional techniques of local fishermen with specific materials for each type of catch. Fishing methods include using spoons, rappels, and buoys for curubinas, live bait for pomfrets, surubíes, and coroneles, and fruit for pirapitingas.
The catch will vary depending on the season, making it a competitive challenge to see who the best fisherman is. After fishing, we'll enjoy a lunch featuring milanesa, salad, rice, and eggs, followed by fruit for dessert. Lastly, we will return to Trinidad and drop you off at your hotel.
