Leave Trinidad for a birdwatching activity in the Gran Mojos Park, exploring one of Bolivia's ecoregions and observing protected endangered species.

Gran Mojos Birdwatching Activity

Picks up will be at 5 am from your hotel in Trinidad, and travel will commence towards Loreto, located 25 miles (40 kilometres) away.

Upon arrival, the first stop will be at the Gran Mojos Protected Area Visitor Centre to learn about local endangered species and nearby Indigenous communities.

A breakfast will follow before proceeding to a local hacienda to identify blue-throated macaws, an endangered species that only has 250 individuals left in the wild.

The return to Loreto will include lunch of fish and fruit before heading back to Trinidad, with drop-off at your hotel by around 1 pm.

3-Day Tour

This option includes 2 days of wildlife exploration. The first day mirrors the single-day option.

The second day picks you up at 5 am from your Trinidad hotel, followed by a visit to another hacienda to observe multicoloured thrushes, and includes lunch before the return trip to Trinidad, with further birdwatching.

The third day starts at 5 am, exploring the Ibare-Mamoré municipal protected area, home to various birds and mammals like freshwater dolphins. The tour concludes with a return to Trinidad and drop-off around 3 pm.
