Leave Trinidad behind and join us on our birdwatching activity in the Gran Mojos Park and visit one of Bolivia's numerous ecoregions. You'll discover how endangered species of flora and fauna are protected here.

Gran Mojos Birdwatching Activity

At 5 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Trinidad and set off in our jeep towards the municipality of Loreto, located 25 miles (40 kilometres) away.

Upon arrival, we'll visit the Gran Mojos Protected Area Visitor Centre to learn about endangered species and Indigenous communities in the area.

Afterwards, we'll have breakfast before heading to a local hacienda to spot blue-throated macaws, which are endemic to the Moxos plains and have fewer than 250 individuals left in the wild.

We'll return to Loreto for fish and fruit for lunch before going back to Trinidad, with drop-off at your hotel around 1 pm.

3-Day Tour

For this option, you'll spend 2 days exploring the protected wildlife of this region, starting with the same itinerary as the first day above.

On the second day, a 5 am pickup will take you to another hacienda to observe multicoloured thrushes, followed by lunch before returning to Trinidad, spotting different bird species along the way.

The third day begins at 5 am with a visit to the Ibare-Mamoré municipal protected area, home to various bird species and mammals like freshwater dolphins. The tour concludes with a return to Trinidad, dropping you off at your accommodation around 3 pm.
