Gran Mojos Birdwatching Activity

At 5 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Trinidad and set off in our jeep towards the municipality of Loreto, located 25 miles (40 kilometres) away.

Upon arrival, we'll visit the Gran Mojos Protected Area Visitor Centre to learn about the endangered species and Indigenous communities in the area.

Afterward, we'll have breakfast and proceed to a local hacienda to spot the blue-throated macaws, with only 250 remaining in the wild.

We'll return to Loreto for fish and fruit for lunch before heading back to Trinidad, with drop-off at your hotel around 1 pm.

3-Day Tour

This option includes 2 days exploring the protected wildlife. The first day follows the itinerary outlined above.

The second day begins at 5 am with pickup from your hotel, heading to another hacienda to observe multicoloured thrushes. After lunch, we return to Trinidad, looking for different bird species en route.

On the third day, also starting at 5 am, we'll explore the Ibare-Mamoré municipal protected area, home to various bird and mammal species, including freshwater dolphins. We will return to Trinidad and drop you off at around 3 pm.
