Kenneth Lee Museum Tour

At the scheduled time, we will pick you up from your hotel in Trinidad and head to the north of the city. We will explore the Kenneth Lee Ethno-Archaeological Museum.

This museum, named after archaeologist Kenneth Lee, focuses on the cultures of the Moxos plains. It features a significant representation of Moxos culture.

Upon arrival, you'll see the unique circular structure constructed from locally available materials like jatata or cuchi wood, resembling a traditional Moxeño dwelling.

Inside, you will explore the craftsmanship of this pre-Columbian civilization, known as Moxeño or Mojos. The exhibits will showcase the Moxos culture's agricultural practices, traditions, festivities, and music.

The museum includes models of Moxos' hydraulic systems, domestic utensils, musical instruments, clothing, and masks of deities, providing insights into the rites and traditions of the Indigenous people of the Moxos region.

After the visit, we will return you to your hotel, arriving approximately 1 hour after pickup.
