Explore the Jesuit Missions in Moxos with us and visit the reductions of San Javier and San Pedro on our day trip. We'll also discover the Coitarama Lagoon's beautiful surroundings.

Moxos Jesuit Missions & Coitarama Lagoon

At 6 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Trinidad and head north to the towns of San Javier and San Pedro, ancient Jesuit reductions in the Moxos province of southern Bolivia.

Our first destination will be San Javier, located on the right bank of the Mamoré River. We'll visit the Church of San Javier and learn about the history of the colony before stopping for breakfast on our way to the next stop.

At the reduction of San Pedro, we'll admire the church, restored from the ruins of the old mission. Lunch will consist of fried fish or dried meat with a fruity drink.

After lunch, we'll travel to Coitarama Lagoon, also known as Pistola Lake. You'll be able to admire wildlife, spotting endemic birds and mammals along its shores.

If weather conditions prevent access to the lake, we'll head to the banks of the Ipuru River, where you may spot freshwater dolphins.

We will return to Trinidad and drop you off at your hotel at around 6 pm.
