Day Trip Details
We will gather at the Plaza de Armas at 6:40 am and depart for Cascas, a journey of 2 hours and 30 minutes from Trujillo. A stop in Sausal will allow for a break and breakfast.
Cascas, the capital of its district, is recognized as the first wine-producing city in Peru, significantly enhancing the country's presence in the wine market. Its climate is optimal for grape cultivation, producing burgundies, rosés, and moscatos.
The tour includes visits to the Cristo de las Rocas, a natural monument resembling Jesus Christ, and the Tree of a Thousand Roots, a unique tree with visible roots. Guests will also see the El Molino Waterfall and the Corlas fish farm, where there will be time for individual lunch arrangements.
Following lunch, we will explore Cascas Square and then proceed to one of the well-known vineyards to learn about local viticulture and partake in wine tasting.
The return journey to Trujillo will conclude around 8 pm.
