Day Trip Details
The tour starts at 6:40 am in the Plaza de Armas, followed by a 2-hour 30-minute drive to Cascas. We'll make a stop in Sausal for a break and breakfast.
Cascas is recognized as the capital of grapes and wine and is the first wine-producing city in Peru, having strengthened the country's specialties in the international market. This region's climate is ideal for growing grapes, producing burgundies, rosés, and moscatos.
During the tour, we'll explore the Cristo de las Rocas, a natural monument resembling the face of Jesus Christ. Nearby, the Tree of a Thousand Roots showcases its ancient roots above ground. We will also visit El Molino Waterfall and the Corlas fish farm, where you will have free time for lunch.
Next, we will visit Cascas Square before heading to one of the area's famous vineyards to learn about winegrowing and participate in a wine tasting.
After the tour, we will depart Cascas and return to Trujillo, arriving at approximately 8 pm.
