Cascas Excursion

The tour begins at 6:40 am in the Plaza de Armas, followed by a 2-hour 30-minute drive to Cascas, with a breakfast stop in the town of Sausal.

Cascas, the capital of its district, is renowned as thecapital of grapes and wine and was the first wine-producing city in Peru. It has played a significant role in promoting Peru's wine specialties internationally. The region's climate is conducive to grape cultivation.

Participants will visit notable sites including the Cristo de las Rocas, a natural monument symbolizing Jesus Christ, and the Tree of a Thousand Roots, known for its exposed roots. The tour also includes the scenic El Molino Waterfall and the Corlas fish farm, where there will be free time for lunch.

The excursion continues with a visit to Cascas Square before heading to a local vineyard to learn about wine production and partake in a wine tasting. The return journey to Trujillo will conclude at approximately 8 pm.
