Day trip to Chan Chan
We will meet on Jiron Orbegoso Street in Trujillo before starting our trip to the pre-Columbian city of Chan Chan, an ancient adobe city of the Chimu kingdom. After an hour-long journey, we will arrive at Chan Chan, recognized as the largest clay city in the world.
Our exploration includes a 1.5-hour tour of the Nik An Palace, which features notable monochromatic reliefs.
After Chan Chan, we will proceed to Huanchaco Beach, famous for its strong waves. We'll have approximately an hour of free time to either have lunch or stroll along the beach while observing the traditional caballitos de totora, boats made from local reeds.
Following our time at Huanchaco, we will return to Trujillo, with an estimated return to your hotel about 4 hours after the tour begins.
