Chan Chan + Huanchaco Resort Tour

With this tour of Chan Chan and the Huanchaco seaside resort, we'll immerse ourselves in ancient Peruvian culture and discover one of the most important pre-Hispanic cities in America.

Activity Details

We'll meet on Jiron Orbegoso Street in Trujillo before embarking on a journey to the pre-Columbian marvel of Chan Chan, an ancient adobe city once belonging to the Chimu kingdom. After an hour-long journey, we'll arrive at our destination, which is the largest clay city in the world.

We'll spend an hour and a half exploring the Nik An Palace, which features monochromatic reliefs.

Following our Chan Chan exploration, we will head to Huanchaco Beach, known for its strong waves. Here, we will have around an hour of free time to enjoy lunch or take a stroll along the shore while observing the caballitos de totora, traditional boats made from local reeds.

From Huanchaco, we will return to Trujillo, with an expected return to your hotel approximately 4 hours after our adventure begins.
