Huaca Rajada, the pyramids of Tucume and the Royal Tombs of Sipan are waiting for you, discover the Moche culture of northern Peru with this tour to Chiclayo!

Description

At the indicated time we'll meet at the Emtrafesa bus station in Trujillo. Once gathered, we'll take a public bus heading to Huaca Rajada and Chiclayo.

The tour begins in Chiclayo, showcasing authentic vestiges of the Moche culture. We'll explore the city center, including the Plaza de Armas and the Paseo de las Musas.

Next, we will visit the Royal Tombs of Sipan, a museum housing over 200 pieces of gold from the Moche and Chimu cultures. Following this, we will head to Huaca Rajada, the renowned archaeological site of the Moche culture, which includes the tomb of the Lord of Sipan, a significant discovery.

Adjacent to the Tombs is The Brüning Museum, the first regional museum in Peru, where we will learn about the major cultures of the northern coast.

On our return to Trujillo, we'll make a stop in the village of Lambayeque for lunch on your own, and then we will return to the departure point in Trujillo after around 17 hours.

Closure of the Royal Tombs

The Museum of the Royal Tombs of Sipan is closed on Mondays, operating Tuesday to Sunday from 9 am to 5 pm.
