Marinera Show with Peruvian Paso Horses

At 2 pm, we'll meet in the Plaza de Armas in Trujillo and set off for the Casa Campo Alcor, an institute dedicated to the raising and caring of these Peruvian horses.

Peruvian Paso horses are characterised by their particular way of walking sideways, known as the llano step. We'll have the chance to see a show of these horses led by their chalanes, who are the riders, and admire the majesty of their trot.

This folkloric dance has been declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Nation. The marinera dance with Peruvian Paso horses is a major tourist attraction in Trujillo. The dance is performed in pairs and accompanied by music, as the dancers and riders, dressed in typical costumes, display their elegance.

After the show, which lasts between 30 and 45 minutes, we'll return to Trujillo and conclude at 4 pm back at the starting point.
