Marinera Show with Peruvian Paso Horses

At 2 pm, we will meet in the Plaza de Armas in Trujillo and head to the Casa Campo Alcor, an institute dedicated to the raising and caring for these Peruvian horses.

Peruvian Paso horses are characterized by their unique llano step, walking sideways. We will see a show led by chalanes, the riders of these horses, showcasing their majestic and elegant trot.

This folkloric dance has been declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Nation. The marinera dance with Peruvian Paso horses is a major tourist attraction in Trujillo and the surrounding region. Dancers perform in pairs, accompanied by music, as they and the riders, dressed in traditional costumes, display their skills.

After the show, lasting between 30 and 45 minutes, we will return to Trujillo, concluding the activity at 4 pm back at the starting point.
