Sun + Moon Pyramids, Huanchaco & Chan Chan Tour

Join us to discover the pre-Columbian culture of Peru on this excursion to the Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon, Huanchaco and the citadel of Chan Chan.

Tour Details

We'll meet at the designated time at the Plaza de Armas in Trujillo, then proceed to the archaeological site of the Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon, Huanchaco, and the citadel of Chan Chan. First, we'll stop at Huaca Arco Iris and Huaca Esmeralda. After these visits, we'll explore the ancient citadel of Chan Chan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the largest adobe cities in America. During this part of the tour, we’ll also visit the Palace of Nik An.

Next, in Huanchaco, you will have some free time for lunch. Post-lunch, we'll visit the Museum Huaca de Moche and then proceed to the archaeological site featuring the Sun and Moon Pyramids. This walking tour will give insights into the society of the Trujillo Valley during the pre-Columbian Moche era.

After approximately 8 hours of activity, we will return to the starting point.
