Trujillo Guided Tour
We'll meet at 467 Jiron Orbegoso Street for a guided tour of Trujillo. The tour begins at the Plaza de Armas, the oldest public space in the town, rich in history. We will explore the monument to Liberty and four accompanying sculptures representing art, science, commerce, and health.
Next, we will visit the Cathedral of Trujillo, a 17th-century building reconstructed after an earthquake, followed by a tour of the church of La Merced in the historic center. Our itinerary includes the Emancipation House, where we will learn about Trujillo's independence, achieved seven months before Lima.
Lastly, we will explore the Museum of Archaeology, Anthropology, and History of the Universidad Nacional de Trujillo, featuring a collection that highlights the city's past. We will conclude the tour approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes after the start time.
