Trujillo Guided Tour
We'll meet at the indicated time at 467 Jiron Orbegoso Street to begin a guided tour of Trujillo. First, we'll visit the Plaza de Armas, the town's oldest public space, and learn about its history. We'll see the monument to Liberty and sculptures representing art, science, commerce, and health.
Next, we will explore the Cathedral of Trujillo, rebuilt in the 17th century after an earthquake. Our tour continues at the church of La Merced in the historic center, followed by a visit to the Emancipation House to understand how Trujillo gained independence seven months before Lima.
Lastly, we'll visit the Museum of Archaeology, Anthropology and History of the Universidad Nacional de Trujillo to view a collection that highlights the city's past. We will return to the starting point about 1 hour and 30 minutes after meeting.
