Trujillo Guided Tour
Travel back to Trujillo's colonial times as we stroll through the colourful streets of "The City of Eternal Spring". We'll visit its most iconic buildings, including the UNT Archaeological Museum.
We'll meet at 467 Jiron Orbegoso Street at the indicated time to begin a guided tour of Trujillo. Our first stop will be the Plaza de Armas, the oldest and most representative public space of the town, where we will learn about its foundation and admire the monument to Liberty along with four sculptures representing art, science, commerce, and health. Next, we will visit the Cathedral of Trujillo, built in the 17th century after the destruction of the previous one by an earthquake.
We will continue to the Church of La Merced in the historic centre and then the Emancipation House, where we will learn about Trujillo’s independence achieved seven months before Lima.
Lastly, we will visit the Museum of Archaeology, Anthropology and History of the Universidad Nacional de Trujillo to explore its collection and learn about the city's past. The tour will conclude approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes after meeting.
Closures of the Museum
