Day Trip to Las Coloradas & Río Lagartos

Tour Highlights

At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the Super Akí in Tulum to begin our journey to Las Coloradas. A light breakfast will be served during the trip. Upon arrival, insights into the salt collection process will be shared, accompanied by the scenic landscape.

This location provides an opportunity to observe numerous flamingos, as the pink hue of the lagoon is influenced by a microorganism called artemia salina, which also affects the birds’ coloration.

Afterward, we'll take a boat ride to the Rio Lagartos nature reserve, where the diverse flora and fauna includes crocodiles, flamingos, and mangroves. A swimming break at a pristine beach will follow, along with a visit to a crocodile farm to learn about these animals. The excursion concludes with lunch at a local restaurant featuring local cuisine before returning to the starting point.
