Kaan Luum Lagoon Day Trip + Maya Cenotes

Want to visit unique places in the Yucatan Peninsula? On this day trip, we'll visit the Kaan Luum Lagoon and, as an added bonus, you'll be able to swim in the Mariposa and Chen-Ha Maya cenotes.

Day Trip Details

After picking you up at your hotel between 7 and 9 am, we'll head towards the Kaan Luum Lagoon, a notable natural area of the Yucatan Peninsula. Upon arrival, we will walk along the lagoon to appreciate its turquoise waters and mangroves. Questions regarding the lagoon's color and its significance as a sacred place in pre-Columbian times will be addressed during the tour.

Next, we will continue to the Mariposa cenote, where you will have about 40 minutes to swim. After your swim, we will enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, offering a choice of a typical Mexican dish from a variety of traditional recipes.

Post-lunch, we will explore the Chen-Ha cenote, observing stalactites and stalagmites while learning about their geological origins. The day will conclude with a Maya ceremony aimed at mental and physical purification, followed by our return to your hotel between 4 and 5 pm.

The tour includes hotel pickup at major hotels in Tulum, Akumal, Cancun, Costa Mujeres, Playa del Carmen, Puerto Aventuras, and Puerto Morelos. For guests staying in private homes, hostels, apartments, or similar accommodations, an alternative meeting point will be provided after booking.
