Want to visit unique places in the Yucatan Peninsula? On this day trip, we'll visit the Kaan Luum Lagoon and, as an added bonus, you'll be able to swim in the Mariposa and Chen-Ha Maya cenotes.

Day Trip Details

After picking you up at your hotel between 7 and 9 am, we'll head towards the Kaan Luum Lagoon, a notable natural area of the Yucatan Peninsula.

Upon arrival at the lagoon, we'll walk along its shores to appreciate the turquoise waters and mangroves. We will address questions regarding the lagoon's color and its significance as a sacred place in pre-Columbian times.

Next, we will visit two cenotes starting with the Mariposa cenote, where you will have approximately 40 minutes for swimming.

After swimming, we will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, offering a choice of a traditional Mexican dish from an extensive menu.

Following lunch, we will proceed to the Chen-Ha cenote to explore its stunning scenery, including a sizable group of stalactites and stalagmites, along with a discussion on their geological origins. We will conclude with a Maya ceremony aimed at mental and physical purification.

The day trip ends with a return to your hotel, arriving between 4 and 5 pm.
