Beginner-Level Official Scuba Diving Course

Day 1 and 2: Theory and Confined Water

On the first day, we meet at a dive academy on Sagitario Street to commence the PADI Open Water course in Tulum. The focus will be on a theory introduction to scuba diving, an essential step toward obtaining the official diving diploma. Participants will learn about diving equipment, safety protocols, and underwater communication signals.

The day will conclude with a brief knowledge test to ensure understanding of fundamental concepts, followed by practice diving in confined waters to familiarize oneself with diving. Each day consists of a six-hour session, ending with participants departing from the academy, looking forward to the next day’s activities.

Day 3: Coral Reef Dive

On the third day, participants will meet at the academy at the same time and travel to Casa Cenote, near the Caribbean Sea. This day involves a total of four dives, exploring the cenote and nearby reefs, reaching depths of 18 meters (60 feet).

The duration of the course on this day will also range from five to six hours. The activity will conclude at the academy, where participants will receive their international diving certificate, officially becoming divers.
