On this guided tour of Tulum, you'll explore a significant archaeological site in the Mexican Caribbean, visit a Maya community, and swim in a cenote.
Description
Meet us at Tulum Ruins Avenue to begin our guided tour of the Tulum archaeological site. We will uncover the importance of this iconic archaeological treasure.
For an hour and a half, we will explore the highlights of the Tulum archaeological complex with a knowledgeable guide who will share the area's history. Tulum, built as a coastal fortress, has been a significant place of worship.
We will visit the Temple of the Frescoes, the Temple of the Descending God, and the Castle, each showcasing impressive stone structures. Views of the Caribbean Sea from the cliff where the Tulum ruins are located will also be highlighted.
After the archaeological site visit, we will enter the Maya jungle to see a small community, where you will learn about their rich traditions, customs, and daily life. The excursion concludes with a refreshing swim in the community's cenote, providing an immersive experience.
Our culturally immersive day will end at this point.
