On this guided tour of Tulum, you'll explore one of the significant archaeological sites in the Mexican Caribbean, visit a Maya community, and swim in a cenote.
Description
Meet us at Tulum Ruins Avenue to start our guided tour of the Tulum archaeological site. We will uncover the significance of one of the Mexican Caribbean's iconic archaeological treasures.
Over an hour and a half, we will explore the key highlights of the Tulum archaeological complex with a knowledgeable guide revealing the area's hidden secrets. Tulum was constructed as a coastal fortress and has served as a revered place of worship.
Notable sites include the Temple of the Frescoes, the Temple of the Descending God, and the Castle. In addition to these structures, we will enjoy views of the Caribbean Sea from the cliff where the Tulum ruins stand.
After the archaeological site, we will venture into the Maya jungle to visit a small community, gaining insights into their traditions, customs, and daily life. The excursion concludes with a swim in the community's cenote, providing a refreshing and immersive experience.
Finally, we will wrap up our culturally immersive day.
